How It All Began

Fleur started in Nashville, TN as a Pop-Up shop where I’d set up in my friends’ shops and various coffee shops around town to sell my plant beauties and bring smiles to everyone that passed by. That set-up was going smashingly well, but on an extended stay with a friend in Ann Arbor, MI I met a wonderful man. Always the romantic, I moved up here to be with him. We’re now married with two cats, who you’ll see on Instagram posts from time to time :)

In Ann Arbor I found that the harsh winter weather here makes it impossible for most nurseries to stay open through the winter, so I wanted a business plan that lets me stay open year-round, and we found the perfect thing. We work out of our home and do all of our sales online through this website. We offer nationwide shipping services, and free, contactless pickup in Ann Arbor. It has worked amazingly well through COVID times and beyond. It’s basically a one-woman show, me - who has to do everything from stocking plants to shipping to social media and answering emails to accounting to plant care…well, you get the idea. But still I find the time for almost weekly restocks, offering unicorn plants from my own collection sometimes, and pop-ups in town every once in a while.
